Tap-N-Tee Saddle
Economical, watertight connections.
The Tap-N-Tee, by Joints, is a pipe connector that links lateral pipe to main line sewer and storm drains. Best performance when connecting to mainline pipes with a wall thickness of 0.5 inches (12.70 mm) or greater. The Tap-N-Tee can accept different lateral pipe outside diameters (O.D.) by utilizing synthetic rubber bushings that compensate for differential lateral pipe O.D. The Tap-N-Tee utilized multiple devices to create a corrosion resistance and watertight seal for any lateral gravity fed pipe connection. Materials, including the rubber sleeve, metal components, and expansion wedge flange, are made to the highest quality standards in the United States of America.

- Provides indexing dimples for proper alignment visible to television inspections inside the main line pipe.
- TAP-N-TEE lateral connector manufactured from synthetic rubber.
- TAP-N-TEE expansion ring manufactured from precision plastic injection ABS/Sch 40 - Thickwall Plastic.
- Stainless steel shear bands are available and strongly recommended when resistance to heavy earth load shear forces and improved alignment is required.
- Series 300 or 316 stainless steel available for compression band and shear band.
- TAP-N-TEE fittings accommodate standard bushings/filler rings for the following types of pipe:
Cast Iron, Sch 35 PL, Sch 40 PL

Contractors can now replace conventional T-branches (TEES) or Y-branches (Wyes) on mainlines with an innovative Tap-N-Tee system. This solution allows for direct connection of side lateral pipes by:
1.) Drilling a precisely sized round hole in the main sewer pipe
2.) Inserting our approved synthetic rubber tee fitting
3.) Securing it with an expansion ring flange

- 6-inch (requires 7.125-inch cored hole)
- 8-inch (requires 9.125-inch cored hole)
Technical Specifications
Shear Band Width:
- 4-inch & 6-inch models: 2.120 inches
- 8-inch model: 2.437 inches
Coverage: Stainless steel shear band wraps minimum 380 degrees around the joint
Tightening System: Shear bands secured by 60-inch lb. (4 BAR) preset torque wrench
Compression Band: AISI 316 stainless steel with stainless steel nut and bolt (AISI Series 300) meeting ASTM A 240 requirements

How It Works
The Tap-N-Tee expansion wedge flange creates a secure connection through compression between:
- The cored hole in the main line pipe
- The tapered ABS expansion ring flange
- The lateral pipe inserted into the Tap-N-Tee Saddle
