The distinctive three-tier securing system creates exceptional structural integrity. The central 0.12-inch (3mm) thick 304 steel shear band employs worm drives anchored to its exterior surface, positioned midway between coupling openings. This core support is complemented by outer bands with robust 316 stainless steel securing mechanisms, delivering uniform compression across the elastomeric gasket for watertight clay-to-clay connections that meet ASTM deflection and sealing requirements.
